Botho University will host it’s 2025 International Research Conference (BUIRC 2025) on the 12th and 13th of June 2025. This conference will gather academics, government officials, and International business representatives to discuss and collaborate on sustainability. The conference proceedings will be published/indexed in Atlantis Press a publisher that belongs to Springer Nature. This conference is a hybrid conference.
Mr Lawrence Ookeditse is a Member of Parliament for the Nata-Gweta Constituency and also Assistant Minister of Health. He has been a Researcher and Political Science/International Relations lecturer at the University of Botswana. Lawrence has also been a Convener of the Botswana Jobs Summit. He is interested in matters of political and socio-economic development both locally and internationally. His research interests include national security, Africa-China relations, peace building and international political economy. He is a published author on intelligence culture, participatory democracy, regional integration, national security and health care reform. He is a former radio host, newspaper columnist and Political Analyst. Lawrence is also a former Research Coordinator for Population Services International Botswana, Director of Youth/Policy Specialist for the Government of Botswana in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Sport and Culture Development. He holds a BA (Political Science) and Masters in Politics and International Relations. Lawrence is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations with Stellenbosch University with his research focus being on Financial Flows and National Security.

She is a board member of the World Economic Forum’s New Champions and a leading voice in ESG, Al ethics, and sustainable development.
Mr Timothy Sipho Matsebula has served as Auditor-General of Eswatini since 2018, leading the country’s Supreme Audit Institution. With over 20 years of experience in auditing, finance, and advisory across public and private sectors, he has held roles with COMESA, the African Union, and SADC audit boards. He currently chairs the AU Board of External Auditors and the AFROSAI-E Capacity Building Sub-Committee. Mr Matsebula is committed to strengthening public sector accountability and professionalism in the auditing field.
Sabine Moebs – Professor for Business Information Systems at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), Germany

Mr Alankar Malviya, a graduate of London School of Economics, has over 25 years of diverse development sector experience, with government, private sector and with UN. He started his career with Civil Services in India and has worked with UN since 2005. His current portfolio is of Senior Regional Advisor Fast Track for Eastern and Southern Africa, for UNAIDS regional office based in Johannesburg, where has been instrumental in galvanizing partnerships on reinvigorating prevention and sustainable financing under SADC umbrella, leveraging Information Communication Technology for advancing SRHR services to youth amongst his other many achievements. He also was Director a.i. for the Regional Support Team of UNAIDS in East and South Africa (RST ESA) in recent years
